A special “congratulations” to Carolina Crown on their killer season and silver medal. It’s so great to see fresh faces up at the top
Boston Crusaders Semis
I hate to use the word “surprise,” but Boston’s drumline was just that. Big sound, good beats, and just fun to watch. Thanks, BAC!
drumFunny at DCI 2009 World Championships
As promised, we’re going to be at the Drum Corps International World Championships in Indianapolis reporting, tweeting, blogging, recording, blah blah blah starting Friday night. The plan is to put together all the content and recordings and post them sometime late Friday night. In the meantime, the best way to stay super up to date is by following me on Twitter (updates will also show on the right side). I’ll keep it updated with what’s going including TweetMic recordings, which are audio recordings posted directly to my Twitter account and hosted online. Throughout the night, feel free to send requests for audio, video, interviews, etc to me and I’ll do my best to fulfill as many as I can.
If you’re in Indy, look for me. I’ll be wearing the yellow drumFunny shirt and running around like a maniac.
DCI 2009 w/ Electronic Instruments ***Sneak Preview***
Today marks the first competitive day of the 2009 drum corps season. I was able to reach out to my contacts around DCI and obtain this promo video showing what we can expect from the top drumlines this summer.
I’ll admit, I was at first skeptical of allowing electronic instruments, but you can now consider me a believer!!
The Sir Bando Groove
This video was submitted by our friends in the 2009 Bluecoats snareline. On the set is Sir Bando, creator of the Sir Bando Shuffle.
Looks like pre-tour is off to a good start…
Thanks guys. Best of luck this season!
