Contest Winner
So this one got a little left behind, but nonetheless, we’re proud to announce the winner of the first drumFunny contest. Achieving 46% of the total votes cast, the winner is Steven Kidwell and Kerry Webb!!
Until people start clicking on our modest ads in the bottom right column (HINT HINT HINT HINT), we can’t afford to offer you any more than a symbolic picture of the Blue Devils holding a High Drums trophy. Once our ad revenue starts pouring in, you’ll get your t-shirts (or maybe wrist bands…haven’t decided yet)
drumFunny Live At WGI (In HD!!)
Tie up your dancing shoes and suit up in your skin tight velvet, it’s time for WGI finals! drumFunny will be out in full force blogging, tweeting, and recording in HD throughout Friday and Saturday.
Make sure you follow us on Twitter for updates throughout the day. We’ll also have our Twitter update on the drumFunny homepage in case you aren’t into that “twitter thing” yet.
Also, we’re very excited to bring you video coverage in HD from Friday and Saturday. We’ll spend the day recording and will post it later that night (or as soon as we can steal someone’s internet connection).
Look for me if you’re wandering the lots or the tent. I’ll be hard to miss:
Banished Beyond mp3’s Now Downloadable
We’re continually updating the Banished Beyond Lion King post. Most recently I made the mp3’s downloadable through a zip file. All files are included in the zip except for the full mix. Because Zimmer’s King of Pride is copyrighted through Buena Vista, I don’t want to risk making it free for download. If you’re hell bent on having it though, shoot me an email.
Rudiments and Licks
We’re on the lookout for more music related submissions. Rudiments, licks, Lion King style arrangements, whatever. Our music posts are something that sets us apart from other music themed blogs. To keep things on the humorous side, try naming your lick or rudiment using a pop culture reference – for example our Christmas Eve post: Stocking Stuffers. Other ideas might be, “The Stimulus Package,” “Korean Rocket,” “Easter Eggs” etc.
Show us what you got!
