As a follow up to the post I did earlier this week about Star Wars: In Concert, I thought I should share the email response I got from the North American Press Representative Tim Choy.

My email to Tim:
“Please please please please bring this concert to the east coast!!!!”

Tim Choy’s response:
“Thank you for writing. At this time it is planned that “Star Wars: In Concert” will play some fifty North American markets on this first leg of its worldwide tour. We will be announcing the future cities over the next few weeks, and we will get them up on the website (www.starwarsinconcert.com) as fast as we possibly can.

We appreciate your interest and we look forward to seeing you at ‘Star Wars: In Concert.’”

There you have it. If you’re in the U.S., chances are you’ll be able to see a show somewhere remotely close to where you live. Huge thanks to Tim for his response to my geeked out email.

September 1st – mark your calenders. Mr. Belding, also known as Dennis Haskins to his intimate circle of friends and family, is set to release his own karaoke CD. The CD/DVD combo will contain seven songs with the option to sing along with Mr. Belding (I know I would), or sing solo. The seven songs are:

1) School’s Out
2) California Dreamin’
3) Piano Man
4) What A Wonderful World
5) Brown Eyed Girl
6) Georgia
7) Friends In Low Places

After reviewing this list, I’m very disappointed to see the omission of one song made famous in this classic Saved By The Bell performance.

Proposal:
Proposal to Remove WGI’s Independent World Class Age Limit

Rationale:
Everyone involved in WGI shares a passion for the activity. Hard work and long hours make each season something very special, year after year. WGI Independent Percussion ensembles consistently innovate and push the activity, and all of its related art forms, at a growing rate. 

Yet despite all the activity does to foster growth and innovation in marching percussion, an age-out rule eliminates, every April without fail, one of the activity’s most valuable assets: experienced, passionate performers. (continued)
